Overhead Hoist Applications
An overhead hoist, also known as an overhead crane or bridge crane, is a type of material handling equipment that is used to move heavy loads horizontally and vertically.
The overhead hoist consists of a bridge or gantry that runs along parallel runways, supported by a structure such as a building or a freestanding system. The bridge is equipped with a trolley and a hoist mechanism that allows it to lift and move heavy loads from one location to another.
Overhead hoists are commonly used in industrial settings, such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, and construction sites, where there is a need to move heavy materials or equipment. They can also be found in shipping ports and rail yards for loading and unloading cargo from ships and trains.
Overhead hoists come in various types and sizes, with different lifting capacities and configurations to suit different applications. They can be operated manually or through electric or pneumatic power sources, and can be controlled through a pendant or a remote control device.
